I have the best godparents. My godmother sends me a birthday card every year and this year she sent me a gift card to Amazon. It has been burning a hole in my pocket. I decided to buy a Wacom tablet and it arrived today. I've had this on my wishlist for over a year. I dropped MAJOR hints that I wanted it for my birthday. Thanks to my loving godparents, wishes DO come true.

Mine! Aaaaall mine! My precious!
Practice. Practice. Practice. Im pretty excited about my new-to-me DSLR. I have a new Prime Lens that I am trying out too. I have not had much time to really test it out. The other night I went to the top level of my parking garage to take some pics but lost light quickly. I found a few shots that I processed using my fave iPad photo editing apps. I will get some practice with kiddos this Sunday at my nephews birthday party this weekend. Wish me luck.

I recently upgraded to a DSLR camera. This past Easter I decided that my new photography subjects would be my nephews. Here are just a few of the pictures that I took of my Jellybean.

Today started out a little rough when I showed up at my moms with my younger sister was in a mood. I helped my mom in the kitchen and made my award winning cheesy cornbread casserole. The tension in the house washed away by the time we sat down to share our Thanksgiving meal.

My mom started grace with the Lord's Prayer. I heard my father recite some of the prayer. I am thankful for that. His aphasia has caused him to lose his speech. He will sing along to happy birthday sometimes too. I cherish those little moments when I have him back in those brief moments. After our meal we went in the backyard and played with my nephews. I am thankful for my family.

My sister and I decided to brave 3 hours in the cold and it paid off. We scored some great black Friday finds at ToyRUs for Santa gifts for the boys.

When we got home, the Longhorns decided to finish off the day with a beautiful win. I cant think of a better way to end the UT/A&M rivalry. The Aggies were very hostile and were poor sports the entire game. And all I have to say to them is...Nah nah nah nah! Nah nah nah nah! Hey hey hey! Good-bye!

Best-Thanksgiving-Ever!
